A little wall delay, due to a new arrival!!

We are currently on hold to get our wall sanded right now, but for a very good and exciting reason.

There is a new Little V in the family....no, not ours! She is still cookin', but Miss J has a new baby sister! Yesterday, the 29th of April Miss Saphera Rosalyn was born and boy are we excited! Auntie A had been having contractions for many days, so many in fact that P thought she would arrive last week, then she took a trip to Orlando and almost made it back yesterday before the little one arrived, but Little Miss S decided she was finally ready and was born yesterday afternoon. Tonight we went to the hospital so that we could meet our new little niece and Little N could meet his new cousin. He was so sweet and gentle with her. He sat on P's lap and we held Little S. He petted her hair and hugged her and kissed her. Hopefully he is this gentle with our little one too! Here are some pics of the evening:

Introducing Little Miss S...look at all that hair!

Little N and Auntie A...yes that's a nice little bruise on his cheek. Little N and his tricycle got into a bit of an adventure this week.

Being so gentle.

Hugs for the new little cousin

I swear he is not tasting her, just giving some kisses to the new little cutie

Another little visitor at the hospital for Miss S...this is Mr. M, quite the adorable little peanut!

A little wrestling...Little N was getting a bit restless by the end, though he did have a good time playing with Mr. M.

More of the little cutie

So tired....

This was was an attempted close-up of her incredibly long and curled eyelashes to go with that head of hair! P was hoping she would wake up a little, but she was snoozing peacefully the whole time. Don't worry Little S, we will be visiting again soon and you can show us those peepers! We're so excited you're here! Hopefully you decided to let Mommy and Daddy at least a little bit of sleep! :)

We love you!

Getting ready for baby

About a month ago, P made a to-do list of things she would like done before Baby V arrives. One of the bigger things on her list was to have a wall built and door hung to what is now our office, as that will be Baby V's room eventually. Luckily some VERY nice helpers came over and our project is almost done! S and his friend G did the framing and hung the door and then Uncle M came and hung the sheetrock and taped and mudded the wall. All that is left to do is sand and it already looks fantastic if you ask P. I am so very excited to have this almost done so I can paint! Last week Uncle M and Little Miss J came over to work on the wall and play. Here are some pics from our day:

Unrelated to the wall, here is a pic of how I found Little N the other day, just chilling in the living room:

Happy Easter!

On Easter Sunday, we flew home from Missoula in the morning. When we got here, we headed out to the H house for an Easter celebration. We had excellent food! A grillout on a nice day, what could be better?! Once Little N got up from his nap, the kids all headed outside for an Easter egg hunt.
Little N's buddy MH was nice enough to help him out a little. They had to hurry to keep ahead of some of the bigger kids!
After the egg hunt, we had our annual egg rolling competition. This is an Easter tradition with P's family. There is a special egg rolling ramp and everyone takes turns rolling their eggs down. You start with 3 pennies and each time your egg gets hit, you have to surrender a penny until you are either out of pennies or you are the last one standing with pennies left. We have done this for as long as P can remember(and probably much longer!)
Uncle P, acting as judge.
Some fun times with the cousins!

Here is Little N and Little K, "driving."
Here is Little N and the H boys, playing their favorite game.

Yep! Little N is giggling away inside that blanket as he gets tossed around!

On our way home, we stopped up the street to see the goats....
and their babies!!
Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Love,

P, S, and Little N

Another airplane ride!

Much to Little N's excitement(and a little bit of naughtiness, he was wild!), we took an airplane ride for the second weekend in a row. This time we went to see his Uncle J in Missoula, Montana. It was a quick trip, but very fun. We flew in Friday night and out on Sunday morning. We had gorgeous weather on Saturday and spent most of the day outside. It was the day of the Grizzly Triathlon and Uncle J had a few duties to attend to, so we took a walk over to campus to check things out.

Here is Uncle J returning from replenishing the water for the runner's on his motorcycle.
Little N was very excited when he got to sit on it!

Always wear your helmet!

On our walk back, we stopped in a field to practice some football moves. First Little N and Grancy tried to move the dummies....with not much success!
Then Little N and Daddy tried. Little N thought this was a fantastic game! He would run his little legs off towards it and then bounce off and land on the ground with his legs in the air. It was pretty entertaining to watch!

What a good day!

We love you Uncle J! Thanks for letting us visit!
Love,
P, S & Little N

A trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Sorry folks! We have been slacking a little on the blogging! I am attempting to catch up before we leave for our Easter weekend adventures. We are off to Missoula to see Uncle J and then up to Aunt D's house for Easter Sunday!

Last weekend we jetted off to St. Louis to see Grandma and Grandpa V. This was our last trip before the next Little V arrives. P can only fly a couple more weeks, so we had to squeeze one more visit in! Here are some pics of our fun-filled weekend:

The boys did a little tune-up to the tricycle and we took a walk around the neighborhood
Here's Little N trying to hide the wrench in his "trunk"
Testing out the pedals....looks like we're good to go! C'mon Riley!
Some spring flowers on the trees.
What a nice day!
Hello Llama!
Little N LOVES to do projects. Luckily for him, Grandma was all ready with one. He got to dye Easter eggs for the first time. He was pretty darn excited.

Daddy showed him how and helped him so we didn't have egg salad!

Careful!
Waiting.....not the most fun part of the project! :)
Hurry and dry eggs!

Mommy helped pick out the stickers to put on the eggs....

Ta Da! Finished at last! Little N proudly pointed out his project that Grandma displayed on the table each time he walked by.

Little N then helped Grandma decorate her windows. He knew just what to do because he sometimes gets to help TR2 with this activity too!

Gotta get it just right!
Putting on the sun, hoping it will bring summer!

While Little N was napping, we got a visitor!

It was the Easter Bunny and he hid some eggs outside for Little N to find. P was thinking she would have to do a lot of helping this year, but I only had to point out a few!

Quite the basket full! The Easter Bunny was good to this little boy!

And last but not least, we finished off the weekend with a wonderful ham dinner and some........
Birthday cake!!!
Happy Birthday to you Grandpa!
Mmmm.....peeps! Only Little N would eat them.
Have a great Easter weekend everyone!
Love,
P, S, and Little N
