Still no baby!

We are still waiting on the little one...almost 7 days over now! In the meantime, we are enjoying some time with Little N. On Saturday, we went to the Delta Block Party, which was an employee appreciation event for all employees in the Delta family. P had hoped that maybe the walking around would convince the baby to come, but no such luck! Little N had a blast though. He got to go on a giant inflatable slide. We had tried to get him to go on one like this a few months ago in St. Louis and he got scared part way up and had to come back down, but this time he climbed to the top all by himself and went down. He was very excited by how fast he went! Here are some pics from our day.

It's hard to tell, but he looks a little nervous, though he was very excited at the bottom!

Mini Cooper airplane car!
Below is Little N's cool airplane tattoo he got on his arm. The roadrash on his face was from last week. He and his dump truck had a little run in with the sidewalk. The truck got stuck when he was pushing it and he kept going and landed on his face on the sidewalk.

Cheese!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and got to enjoy the weather!

And the wait continues....

Today is Baby V's due date. So far no signs of the little one coming! P is getting a little(or maybe more than a little) impatient! She was really hoping not to go to work tomorrow, but I guess this little one is on a different agenda. We have an ultrasound tomorrow to see how the baby is doing and how big she is. Then, a doctor's appointment on Thursday, at which they will probably make a plan or at least set a date she will be induced if the little one hasn't decided to come by then. P is REALLY hoping she decides to come on her own in the meantime! P and S have both had little talks with her to try to convince her that it's time to come out, but no luck! Tonight, even Little N was getting impatient. He was watching the baby(P's belly) and asked her if he could just see the baby. When P explained that we had to wait just a little bit more, he poked P's outie belly button and said "there is the baby's elbow!" Such a funny little guy! Here is a picture of him tonight, in his favorite spot. He likes to hang out in the porch and "drive" the wheels of his stroller. Tonight he was driving in style! We did have a nice weekend, hanging out as a family and while we are certainly anxious for the new little one, we are trying to enjoy our time with just Little N.

Have a good week everyone! Hopefully we can post some baby pics soon!

Little N and Mommy

So, today I am hanging out with Little N while S works on Grandma B's car. It makes me kind of sad to know that this will be one of our last Saturday's with just the 2 of us. We went to the mall this morning(one of his favorite places, not mine!). We were in Old Navy buying him some summer PJs when I asked him to please sit down in his stroller so he didn't fall....and my little sweetie yells so the whole store can hear "Mommy you are driving me nuts!" I'm sure I was supposed to say something to the effect of how that wasn't nice, but all I could do was laugh...me and everyone else in the store! Some days he is just too funny to discipline! And here I thought I was being all nice by getting the PJs with the dump trucks on them. Never a dull moment with this little guy, he just gets more fun every day. I can only hope Baby #2 has as much personality as her big brother!

Love you Little N!

Still baking....

Our little bun is not quite ready yet! Only 9 days left until P's due date....the anticipation is growing! When will she come???

P has not been quite as ahead of the game this time around as she was when she was pregnant with Little N. Last weekend she finally went down to the basement to get out the car seat and wash it, only to find that a pipe in our basement had been leaking...only over the car seat of course....and had ruined it. So, after running out to the store right away with Little N, the lady at the store told her that they didn't make our seat anymore that would fit in the bases we already have. So, P went home and found one online and ordered it right away. Luckily, that seat arrived today, nice and fast! We also got our bouncy seat and swing all washed and ready to go this week. All these things being dug out of storage is fascinating to Little N. He wants to try them all out of course.

As we read a book on the Hippo family last night that told the story of a big brother that helps take care of the new baby, I asked Little N if he was going to be a good big brother and rock our baby to sleep. He said "yes, I will rock our baby hippo." Not quite what I had in mind, but all night he was adamant that we would be having a baby hippo! Today, he told me that was silly when I asked about the baby hippo...whew! I would hate to disappoint the little guy with a human baby!

Here is a picture of Baby V...9 days from her due date! We will see how long she makes us wait! On Weds, the doctor said everything looks really good. She estimated her to be about 8 lbs, then told P "you know you could still be pregnant for another month." Let's hope not! She did say things are starting to progress a bit, so hopefully she will not make us all wait that long!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

This Mother's Day, Little N had ALL of his Grandma's over for brunch! Most year's Minnesota's fishing opener falls on Mother's Day weekend, and this year was no different. So, Little N's Grandma and Grandpa drove up Thursday night from St. Louis and then on Friday, all the boys headed up North and Grandma stayed with P and Little N for the weekend. We had a good time! On Saturday we went to the MOA for some fun with Auntie A, and cousins J and baby S. Then on Sunday, P had all the ladies over for brunch. Grancy, Granny, Grandma V, Grandma B and Grandma C. We had a good time...7 mom's and 3 kids! We were very excited that everyone could make it and Little N really enjoyed having all his favorite ladies around. Here is a picture of Little N and all his Grandma's.
What a good looking group!

We hope all you Mom's had a great Mother's Day!

Last weekend's fun

Last weekend, Little N's Grancy came over to help Mommy wash the windows and do a little spring cleaning. He had just gotten a new Cars frisbee that he wanted to try out though, so first Little N and Grancy went outside to throw the disc around a little. While both could maybe use a little practice(Little N's throws land at his feet and Grancy's tend to go far past the little guy), I think they both had a good time!
He also was very busy coloring while we were washing windows and when I turned around to see how he was doing, this is what I found.....never a dull moment! Thank goodness for washable markers!
