Working out

Here are some pics of Little Miss M, doing her morning push-ups today.Such hard work!

Uncle J's wedding celebration

Saturday night, Uncle J and his fiance, BB, arrived at our house after a long drive from Montana. We were so excited to see them and for them to stay here for a night! Little N, though a little shy at first, was also excited to see them the next morning, as they arrived while he was sleeping. At first in the morning, he would only stand outside the doorway to their room and talk to them. He refused to go in where he could actually see their faces. It was pretty funny, but he quickly got over the shyness and we had a great morning visiting. Uncle J brought Little N a cool new bike to ride. It has to pedals, but encourages balance and supposedly replaces the training wheel stage of biking. Little N absolutely loves it! Here is how I found it this morning after he had been playing with it...apparently he was doing a little maintenance on it! Here are the kids with BB. They seem just as excited as us to have her be a part of the family!
Then, later in the day, we had a pre-wedding celebration for Uncle J and BB so the folks in MN who aren't making the trek to MT next month, could see the happy couple. Our good friends CL and SL helped us to run a casino night for everyone. I think it's safe to say that everyone had a great time! There was lots of family and friends there that J probably hadn't seen in quite awhile and BB hadn't met many of them! Here are some pics from the party:

Here are some of the guys playing golf on the Wii.

Bingo!
Here is our friend SL being an auctioneer. Everyone at the party got fake money to play with and at the end of the night could bid in the auction for mystery prizes. As you can see he made it a lot of fun by really getting into the role! Thank you VL and SL for your help! You really made the party a lot of fun!
Due to the fact that the casino theme really didn't leave a lot for little kids to do, this party was adults only. Little Miss M got to be the exception, so she put on her party dress and came along. P hardly saw her all night as everyone wanted to hold and cuddle her. Here is cousin E snuggling with her, she even was willing to change her diaper just to keep holding her!

Below is Little Miss M in her party dress.

And last, but not least, here is the happy couple, dancing in the kitchen at the end of the night.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this a special night for them! We love you all!

Little Miss Smarty Pants

Friday night was one of Little Miss M's firsts...she had her first bottle and took it like a champ, just like her big brother did when he was a baby! P was a little worried because she had to work a wedding on Saturday and needed S to keep both kids for the morning, so it could have been trouble if she didn't take the bottle, but I guess I worried for nothing! She is a little Smarty Pants, just like her brother and knew just what to do! (I'm not biased or anything!) :) Little N was of course curious, so he examined the whole process and helped Daddy feed her a little. I'm sure he will be very excited to try feeding her himself soon! Here is one of her cute little outfits, courtesy of our friend JL!

Father's Day

A few weeks ago, Little N got a cool Twins baseball hat. S made mention that he should probably have a matching hat, so for Father's Day, that is what we got him! Here are some pics of S, Little N, and Little Miss M on Father's Day.
You may have noticed that S changed his outfit between pictures. This is because, in addition to the cool hat, Little M decided to shoot poop all over her Daddy during a diaper change for Father's Day. It was a little gross, but P and Little N found it very funny!

Hope all you great dads out there had an awesome day!

Love,

P, S, Little N, and Little Miss M

Getting behind!

Wow! Time really flies with 2 kids and all kinds of fun activities going on. I am a bit behind in my postings, so here are our adventures from the last week.

Here is a pic of Little Miss M at 1 week old

She seems to like life with us! :)

Then, last Friday, Little N's godmother, P's really good friend B, met us at Como Zoo for an adventure. Our intent was to go to Comotown(where all the rides are) because rides were free that evening. As P was driving all over the neighborhood, trying to find parking, she was starting to think that maybe she would rather pay for rides a different day! After parking a few blocks away and walking to meet B, we went into Comotown....and right back out. It was a little too chaotic for us and I think we would have waited in line an hour for one ride! There was a playground across the street though that looked much more appealing. I think in the end, Little N had way more fun with B at the playground than he would have on the rides anyway!

There were a few tears shed when we had to leave. I think he would live at a playground if I let him!

On Saturday, we had a very exciting day! Little Miss M had a big first...she got to meet her Grandma and Grandpa! They flew in from St. Louis for the weekend to meet her and have some family fun. Little N, P, and S were very excited too. We love it when G & G come visit and stay with us! It's always a good time! We got to visit, and went to a birthday party with P's family. Then on Sunday, the rest of the V family came over to play and we went on a fun stroller walk to get some ice cream and had a great day with the cousins and all. Thanks G & G for coming! We miss you already!

We had a birthday celebration for Uncle M and Little Miss M and Little Miss S. Uncle D thought it was silly to celebrate the babies birthdays, but Grandma put "Zero" candles on the cake for them!

Here's our baby girl at 9 days old. P wasn't too sure about the headband, but S thought it made her look "cute and sporty"....so we left it on! As for life at home, P has only had a couple of days where she actually had both kids by herself. I really am so thankful to Grancy and S for all the help! Mostly Little N is very good at entertaining himself, but he does take frequent breaks now to visit with his baby sister.

This little girl gets constant kisses and hugs from her big brother!

I think I am all caught up now(I would probably have more, but I forgot my camera at the birthday party on Saturday and spent a few days without one!) Here are some random pics of our two sweeties that I took this week.

And a final note....Little Miss M went to the doctor to get weighed today and at 2 weeks old, she now weighs 10lbs. 11oz! She is obviously getting enough to eat! Thank goodness it finally got warm out so we can hurry and wear all the cute clothes she has before they don't fit anymore! Yikes!

Have a great weekend everyone! We love you!

Little Peanut

Ok, I know she really isn't that little as far as new babies go, but next to Little N, Little M sure does look tiny! Here are some pics of the proud big brother and Little M. Little N is constantly checking on his baby sister and she gets covered in hugs and kisses. His most favorite thing is to hold her though. He just gets the biggest grin on his face! You can tell he is a very proud big brother.

I would just like to thank my mom and my wonderful husband for all the help this week. I think it would have been a little rough on me with a very energetic Little N and very hungry Little M all by myself! Don't know what I would do without you guys!
Love,
P

Some more baby pics!

Here are some more pics from our last couple days with our new Little M!

New family of 4! We are so excited to have our new Little Girl home with us now.

What a cute big brother!

New big brother. He is getting more and more into the role. She sure gets lots of hugs and kisses!

Our sleepy girl

I think they are cheering because they are so excited that they are both here now! I know we all are!

Little M and Auntie A

Little M and Uncle D

Kind of hard to tell, but these two little cousins are the same size, even though Little Miss S is a whole 5 weeks older than Little M!

These two are going to be trouble!

Little M and her Grancy....can't wait for the other G & G to come next week!

All ready to head home!
Little M, all freshly bathed and dressed and patiently waiting to leave the hospital.
Thanks to all the visitors and well wishes! We love you all!

She's here!!!

Our baby girl has finally arrived!

Madison Grace Vick born at 1:26PM on June 4th. She weighed 9lbs. 13oz., was 21.5 inches long. She beat her brother in weight, but not length! We are all doing well and so excited that she's here! She decided to be nice to P and not make her be induced. We were all set to go in on Thursday morning and then on Weds night, she decided to start making her way! Here are some pics from the last day:
