Christmas Day with all the V's!

We went to S' cousin K's house for Christmas dinner and to hang with all the V's. What a fun time!
Two Uncle D's....and a little Mr. M

Silly little S

Miss M, riding the hidden away Thomas the Train. :) They didn't hide it well enough for this little stinker!

Miss M getting a quick ride around the track from Mr. M before we left. She loved it and I think it goes without saying, so did N. He had some serious tears, when we made him leave.

Christmas morning

N could HARDLY stand waiting for Christmas morning to play with his kitchen from Santa that he was just so sure he was getting. Santa sure had his work cut out for him with all the little pieces to put together! When N ran out in the living room that morning, he yelled, "there's my kitchen"....which was still wrapped. Must have been a pretty good boy to be so sure! :o)

The moment they had been waiting for since seeing Santa

Ta Da! Thanks Santa!

Washing the dishes

Lots of food

Grandpa got tasked with assembling Miss M's new VW beetle :)

Two fistin' the ice cream cones!

N got a doctor's kit for Christmas, so Daddy had to get checked out before we could go anywhere

Oh, bummer! A shot on Christmas morning! :)

Getting ready to head out for the day

Merry Christmas everyone!

I love working in the airline industry.....and the benefits that come with it!

About a month ago, our good friend, LG, sent us a message, saying that she would like to throw a suprise birthday party for her hubby, another very good friend of ours, BG, as he was turning the big 3-0. While something like this would just involve getting a babysitter for the night, this was a bit more complicated. BG used to be a Dispatcher for Northwest Airlines, which means that in order to keep his job, they had to move to Atlanta over a year ago when NWA merged with Delta. Luckily, my wonderful job comes with wonderful flight benefits. Another great thing is that many of our friends in this group also have flight benefits. So, I started to think how we could make this work and realized that while direct flights to ATL tend to be a bit full, they are wide open through St. Louis! So.....called up G and G and asked if they would like to watch two munchkins for the weekend. They were thrilled and immediately started planning a weekend of fun! We flew to St. Louis on Friday night, hung out, left the kids there and headed off to Atlanta on Sat morning. Had a GREAT time with our friends there and then flew back to St. Louis on Sunday, spent the day and night with G & G and then flew home Monday morning. The fact that we could pull this off makes me so thankful for my job and it's wonderful benefits. What a great weekend for us and our kids! Thanks G & G for watching them!

I love this picture! So glad they all had fun!

This actually turned out to be a bit of a reunion from a couple of years ago when we went to the G's wedding in Jamaica, as our friends J and J were able to come from Minneapolis too, since he is a pilot for Pinnacle and some others that were at the wedding also made the move to Atlanta.

The birthday boy and J, taking shots. :)

When we were in St. Louis on Sunday, we went to the zoo to see the "March of the Penguins." So cool! They move the penguins from their summer to their winter home by letting them just walk down the sidewalk at the zoo, so we had to check it out.

Isn't he cute?
Just walking down the sidewalk. Kind of felt like we were in Happy Feet.

Just sayin' hi!

Love you!

"Love you" is one of M's most cute phrases lately. Melts your heart.

One day last week, N and M, went to two different daycares. N has left the night prior to go to his Granny's house and didn't come home until the next night. When N and I got home, it was quite clear that the kids had missed each other!

Love it.

Turkey Day

Just a few pics from our Thanksgiving festivities. We went to Grancy's office again this year with about 50 of P's relatives. Played some crazy bunco, cut the turkey's head off, ate a LOT of good food, and just enoyed the fact that we were all able to be together. Thanks Grancy for hosting!
N and Great-Aunt CJ...they have become very good buds lately. She is teaching him Jingle Bells here, which is now his new favorite song. He sings it so much that Miss M has actually learned parts of it too!

N, giving it a great effort!

N'isms

I have been trying to remember my funny N moments in my head for so long, so that I could share them once I found time to sit down to the computer....I believe my memory has lost a few, but here are a couple funny moments from the past couple weeks.

I was driving the kids to daycare the other day when N yelled from the backseat, "Mom! Are you thinking what I'm thinking?!" I, already laughing, because I am sure that I am not thinking what he is thinking, said, "I don't know N, what are you thinking?" He said, "I was thinking, why did that sign have a bent arrow?"  He was referring to the "no turning left" sign that we had just passed. Haha...I was probably thinking something more along the lines of "I need coffee."

The next day, I was driving them home from "school"(their newest daycare) and N saw a sign with one arrow up and one arrow down. He yelled, "Mommy, did you know those are opposites? Oh, and hot and cold are opposites too." I LOVE how much he has been learning lately. Just a little sponge! He then proceeded to list about 4 more opposites. :)

For N's birthday, he recieved a pair of pants from his G & G in the mail. He and Daddy opened them the day that they came and Daddy explained to him that they were called overalls. He immediately had to try them on and run around in them the rest of the night. A couple days later, S was getting him dressed in the morning and N asked him "Now where are those one overeverythings? I would like to wear them." And here they are!

Way to go G & G! A perfect gift!

More to come later, as I am still behind! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Love,

S, P, N, & M

Halloween 2010

A little late, but here are our Halloween pics from this year. My AMAZINGLY talented mom made the kids costumes. She let N pick who they were this year and he chose to be Blue from Blue's Clues and wanted M to be Magenta, Blue's little friend. They were so dang cute!

Deer Hunting Weekend #3

On weekend #3, D and P continued their tradition of frosting holiday cut outs together. It was a great time! We even let Grancy and N help with a few.
