Surprise Attack!

Last week Miss M had a few times where she was a bit cranky and nothing we seemed to do helped. We just could not figure out why she wasn't her usual cheery self. This weekend, P stuck her finger in her mouth to see if she was getting some more of her lower teeth and thought she might have felt a molar coming through way in the back. M was not cooperating at the time and then P kind of forgot about it. Today, S was playing with her and saw a glipse of a tooth way in the back. He was telling P about it and she then remembered what she had felt last weekend. After a little peek at Miss M's chompers, we discovered that yes indeed, P had felt a molar on the bottom.....AND S had seen one on top! Poor M was cutting two molars last week and we didn't even know. This little one seems to get her teeth out of the typical order. So, two down.....two to go! Hopefully those remaining bottom ones will be a breeze after that!

Cheese! So much happier now! :)

Moving on up!!

Miss M has been getting a little more skilled in maneuvering her body around the house the past couple weeks. She can now sit up by herself from laying down and has been getting up on her knees to check things out...like the contents of her diaper bag! :) Today, she became even a little more vertical...check this out!

Hammin' it for the camera and pretty pleased with herself!

Now this is what I'm talkin' about! I can really get into things now Mom!

It's a little sad for me when my babies grow up so fast, but it is so fun to see how excited they are by each step of new independence.

N is getting so very independent lately. For months, he has been able to completely dress himself, and has been fantastic in the big boy underwear....hardly any accidents at all!  He also is such a helper. Today we had to buy him his own rake at Menards so that he could help Daddy outside.

His phraseology always makes me laugh because he sounds like a little grown up. One of his favorite phrases is "So, what should we do today?" A couple weeks ago, he called my Aunt D and after he told her they were going to pick up some food for dinner, he asks her "Are you free?" Another funny one was yesterday, as we were all in the car on the way to my cousin TH's confirmation, N was telling us all about how all kids become adults(adulthood is one of his favorite topics). He says at the end of his story "....and then they are adults and they can have toothpicks!" We had no idea he was so excited to use a toothpick!" Life would be so uninteresting without that little guy. :)

A Weekend Down South

Last weekend we went to St. Louis to visit the kid's G & G. We had some wonderful weather! Most of our weekend was spent outside! We hung out on the deck and went to the Farmer's Market. There was a playground next to the Farmer's Market, so we took the kids over there. We ate lunch at a great restaurant with a patio and then spend some time on another patio, listening to music. Madison really loved the guitar player. Everyone was laughing because she couldn't stop dancing!

The highlight for Little N! I think it's safe to say that Grandpa will be cutting the grass more aften when we come! :)

Swinging at the park...my little daredevil. You can never go high enough for this guy!

First time on the swings. I love the look of joy on her face!

Thanks G & G for another wonderful weekend! We had some trouble getting on a flight home, but the good still outweighed the bad!

Laundry Day

Our kids love it when we do laundry. Little N loves to help. He sorts and helps me put the clothes in the washer and dryer. Miss M likes to "help" too by crawling over and throwing the clean clothes out of the basket onto the floor as fast as she can. Here are some pics of my helpers!

Hi Mom!

Playing with the basket...who knew laundry was so fun??

Happy Easter

We hope you all had a Happy Easter with family or friends! Here are some pictures from ours. We had a couple Easter egg hunts, found some baskets from the Easter Bunny, went to church with Granny, and had a great dinner at Grancy's with some traditional egg rolling!
