Look at that form!

Good friends, good times

Tonight we met up with some of our good friends, who live in Iowa, for a couple hours. They had a layover in MSP, so we met them for dinner. N and SW hit it off right away and started playing and chatting away. They were too funny! The two little ones were happy just to eat and enjoy the company.

P and CW....someone who rivals M in the cheeks and thigh department! :) We love it CW. You are too cute!

We miss you W family! Thanks for the fun! Can't wait to see you again soon...hopefully for a bit longer next time! :)

Love,

The V Family

It's my party.....

...and I'll cry if I want to!

She was mad because Mommy wouldn't let her touch the flame. :)

Singing to the birthday girl

The bigs kids were more than happy to show her the ropes!

She got FAR messier as she got going...yummmm!

Opening gifts

M's party was actually a pool party, however it was cool and rainy until the end, so only three brave boys got in the water....yep, one was N!

Thanks to all who came. It mean a lot to us to have our friends and family there to help celebrate!

If you are a V.....

your birthday is not complete until you have worn the birthday hat!!

Hiding :)

...or tasted the birthday hat??

And measuring in at.....

Miss M had her one year doctor's visit this week. My how she has grown. This has always been an area in which M has excelled. :)

She came into this world weighing 9lbs 13oz and was 21.5inches long!

And now she weighs in at 23lbs, 2 oz and is 29.5 inches. She is starting to even out on the charts now that she is on the move. She is in the 80th percentile for weight and 75th for height....still 95th for head size though. :) She also now has 11 teeth and another will show up any day now! She got all her 12 month molars already.....and she can stand all by herself in the middle of the room. Steps are just around the corner! Watch out world!

Here are some pictures of the little sweetie on her birthday

We started out with a little song in the morning and some birthday muffins

Trying out her new shopping cart she got for her bday

All dressed and ready for the day!

Her new favorite face to make

Loves to play with the beads

Whew! It is hard work being one! Zzzz....

Happy Birthday M! We love you!

Goodbye Zero!

One year ago from this moment, my bag was packed and I was headed to bed for a good night's sleep, so that S and I could rise early and head to the hospital for an induction.....because someone was taking her sweet time arriving into this world. Thankfully, that little somebody did decide that about an hour after I went to bed, it was time to start making her way. So, today is Miss M's very last day of being "Zero" as Little N calls it. I feel like it was only moments ago that we were waiting to meet her. How did a year go so fast?? Tonight we took a few pictures of M's last day being zero...tomorrow on to the big O-N-E!!
Where's M???

Here she is!!! Cuddling with her Daddy! :)

Time for bed!

Not looking so tired :)

Getting sleepy...M loves to hold her shirt while sucking her thumb. We even gave her a little blankey, but alas, she prefers the shirt....even when she has a onesie on, which is kind of funny to watch her try to grab it.
What's happening tomorrow???

Playing in her crib

This is her new trick...dropping toys out of the crib

Sweet dreams little sweetie!

Love,

Mom, Dad, and N

Pool time! Memorial weekend

For our Memorial weekend, we went down to STL to hang with Grandma and Grandpa V in the pool. What a gorgeous weekend! It was hot and sunny the whole time! Everyone enjoyed lounging in the pool for the whole weekend, including Miss M. She was all about it, as you will see.

Grandma bought squirt guns...here they are ganging up on S

And now the tables have turned...monkey in the middle!

Lovin' the pool...she floated around in her "lily pad" and played for a long time!

N hardly got out to eat! Here he is checking on our bobber of floating beverages :)

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa! We had such a great weekend!
