The 125th St. Paul Winter Carnival

Last weekend, we V's, headed out to the St. Paul Winter Carnival. It was a warm day, so quite enjoyable. As a result of the nice weather though, many of the ice sculptures were starting to melt, but it was the last day anyway. Here are some pics of our walk through Rice Park.

A throne big enough for a King....or two little imps

This was actually the highlight of the experience for our kids....chasing and yelling at all the pigeons.

125th Anniversary wall

Checking out out up close

He later licked this wall....twice. Is it any wonder the child has a cold?!

The Winter Carnival always reminds me of my Dad, so this one's dedicated to you Dad! Miss you!

Warning...mostly naked babies!

We went over to A and M's house a couple weeks ago and the two littlest ladies were getting into their PJ's just before we left, when they ran away and it was too funny not to take pictures.
Oh we know we're funny!

She looks like she's doing a dance from Grease!

Go Go Go!

Running as fast as the cute little legs will take them.

A day home with Mom

One of N's favorite things to do is to have "Pajama Day". He doesn't care if it is at daycare, school, or at home...it is a frequent request. I recently took the kids to school, only to have my heart sink as we walked in the door because it was pajama day and we hadn't known. N's cute little face was so sad and he said "Mommy, couldn't you just run home and get my jammies?" Feeling terrible, I had to say I couldn't and go to work. So, we had jammie day that following Monday, MLK Day, because Mom was home with the kids(a new yearly holiday for me with my new job). I even went out of my slightly controlling comfort zone and allowed Playdoh time. Here are some pics of our day in PJ's!
She would yell "hi-ya!" every time she cut something. heehee

Making spaghetti...yum! Blue noodles!

Another favorite toy....P had to get it for them for Christmas because it was also one of her favorite toys when little

Can't you just hear the yell of excitement?! See the giggling one laying in the tunnel. :)

So fun to watch when they play well together!

Brilliance

That's right...pure genius. I am writing to brag about N. He has been obsessed with how to spell words for a very long time...pretty much since right after he learned his alphabet. There are many words that he has been able to spell out loud and many letters that he can write, but putting these two skills together has not happened until recently(other than his name). The latest toy of choice in our house has been a Magnadoodle. The other night, N was leaning over it and said, "look at this!" He had written the word "Stop." This was actually one of the first words he could spell out loud, due to all the stop signs in the world. No prompting from anyone. He then proceeded to write a couple more words...one being "exit". I guess he's into signage. :) Maybe it's not that big of a deal, but it sure made his Mommy proud to have such a smart boy that he can now sound out words and write them all on his own. He was quite proud too. Way to go N! Love you!

Ta da!
