Easter 2011

This year, I was woken by N yelling, "Mom, I found my basket!" So....we all got up and helped M find hers. She needed surprisingly little help. After examining our goodies, we got dressed and headed off to Grancy's to eat and celebrate with her and the great-grandmas. We had an egg hunt...M actually did better than N because he was in such an excited hurry...don't tell him though :) We also continued our tradition of egg rolling. Such fun!

This one is quick! I blinked my eye and she had unwrapped and bit off the ears of her chocolate bunny!

M was super into the egg rolling this year and so excited. It was fun, just to watch her.

She was so excited that she made egg salad out of a couple eggs. The funny part was that S told N a big bird came down and squished them and he spend a good part of his time watching for that bird.

Dying eggs

Some pics from our egg dying this Easter season:

Mommy and N did most, but we let m have a little try too...note the beautiful flowers from S on the left!

Kid LOVES hats! And such a clown too. :o)

One of N's lasts

A friend of ours once gave advice to celebrate lasts as well as firsts. A couple weeks ago, I put on N's footie jammies and realized that we were in a bit of a "last" situation, as they were too short. One of my most favorite things on little kids is footie jammies and as I realized that he would probably not wear them next year, I had to capture this last on my baby boy.

Sigh...where did the time go?

Then, to make me feel better, quite a bit of silliness followed.

I sure do love these little goofballs!

Happy to you, P!

Our fabulous little friend P turned two last month and we had the honor of attending her SUPER fun kitty party. The kids have been pretending to be kitties ever since. you sure know how to throw a good party TR2! Thanks for including us in on all the fun!

STL in April

We went to STL to see Grandma and Grandpa in the beginning of April, for Grandpa's bday(yes, I am waay behind on posts). Here are some pics of our weekend:

M & N got new hats when they arrived!

At the botanical gardens....N insisted on carrying the map. :)

M LOVED this turtle costume. There was a bit of a fit when she had to leave it behind.

As M would say. "Happy to you, Boompa!"

Happy (Surprise!) 40th to our friend MK!

S, Grancy, and I all hopped a plane to STL to attend a surprise bday party for our friend MK. Again, one of those times that I am so thankful for those flight benefits! We had so much fun hanging out with the whole L gang. Always a good time with them. We popped into town the day of the party and flew right back out early the next morning. Thanks for including us in the fun! Let's get together again soon!

Happy 40th MK! We love you!

S and CL, up no to good!

Inside, she's not a day over 21 folks! ;)

Mischief

As the summer went on, Miss M got a bit mischievous when it came to her pack n' plays. This is what she slept in at both Grancy's and Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grancy found that she needed to make sure the bed was faaar away from everything because when M woke up, she would find all kinds of things within reach to get into. At Grandma and Grandpa's she managed to get out a couple times.

Here is a picture of how Grancy found her bed one day, after naptime.

In her bed was everything she managed to grab of the nearby table.....a  pack of playing cards, a pack of kleenex....which she emptied, and some doll shoes. This kids keeps us on our toes for sure!

S and M

I often look at the kids and can't help but wonder what they will be like later in life. I especially wonder what Miss S and Miss M will be like together. It has been an interesting road with those two. They are only 5 weeks apart in age. Since very early in their livees, S has been a bit of a bully to M. In more recent months, they have been playing much better together, though they still have their moments. I think part of the improvement is that M is finally more vocal about putting S back in her place. :)  Sometimes I look at pictures of these two and imigine some serious double trouble later in life! Only time will tell.....

So little :)

They were chatting like girlfriends....cracking each other up. This is where I have hope for the future.
