Turkey Day

Just a few pics from our Thanksgiving festivities. We went to Grancy's office again this year with about 50 of P's relatives. Played some crazy bunco, cut the turkey's head off, ate a LOT of good food, and just enoyed the fact that we were all able to be together. Thanks Grancy for hosting!
N and Great-Aunt CJ...they have become very good buds lately. She is teaching him Jingle Bells here, which is now his new favorite song. He sings it so much that Miss M has actually learned parts of it too!

N'isms

I have been trying to remember my funny N moments in my head for so long, so that I could share them once I found time to sit down to the computer....I believe my memory has lost a few, but here are a couple funny moments from the past couple weeks.

I was driving the kids to daycare the other day when N yelled from the backseat, "Mom! Are you thinking what I'm thinking?!" I, already laughing, because I am sure that I am not thinking what he is thinking, said, "I don't know N, what are you thinking?" He said, "I was thinking, why did that sign have a bent arrow?"  He was referring to the "no turning left" sign that we had just passed. Haha...I was probably thinking something more along the lines of "I need coffee."

The next day, I was driving them home from "school"(their newest daycare) and N saw a sign with one arrow up and one arrow down. He yelled, "Mommy, did you know those are opposites? Oh, and hot and cold are opposites too." I LOVE how much he has been learning lately. Just a little sponge! He then proceeded to list about 4 more opposites. :)

For N's birthday, he recieved a pair of pants from his G & G in the mail. He and Daddy opened them the day that they came and Daddy explained to him that they were called overalls. He immediately had to try them on and run around in them the rest of the night. A couple days later, S was getting him dressed in the morning and N asked him "Now where are those one overeverythings? I would like to wear them." And here they are!

Way to go G & G! A perfect gift!

More to come later, as I am still behind! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Love,

S, P, N, & M

Halloween 2010

A little late, but here are our Halloween pics from this year. My AMAZINGLY talented mom made the kids costumes. She let N pick who they were this year and he chose to be Blue from Blue's Clues and wanted M to be Magenta, Blue's little friend. They were so dang cute!

Deer Hunting Weekend #3

On weekend #3, D and P continued their tradition of frosting holiday cut outs together. It was a great time! We even let Grancy and N help with a few.

Deer Hunting get-away

Every year for deer hunting, my wonderful Aunt D "claims" me and my kids for a weekend or two. It is GREAT! We go and stay at her house. She lets me sleep in, feeds us well, and we just play and relax all weekend. This year we got extra lucky. Not only did we go to D's house two of the three weekends, but then Grancy claimed us for the third weekend! Grancy even let me stay home one day all by myself and work on our house....heaven! Thank you to the entrie H family for all of your help with my kids and thanks to our wonderful Grancy! We really do not know what we would do without all of you! We are so lucky....including S because he may not be hunting all three weekends if is wasn't for all of you! :o)
Here are some pics from our weekends away:

Weekend #1...N and D playing Yahtzee

Weekend #2....a whole weekend with the train table!

Also during weekend #2, we got our first real snow! A lot of it. Bummer for P, who was home and had to shovel it all. It was also very fun to play in! N called me right away in the morning to see if it had snowed a lot at our house too. He was so excited! So, I worked on the house Saturday, shoveled some serious snow, and loaded all the snowpants, boots, and mittens in the car, and headed to Grancy's. Here is some of our Winter fun.

Pure Sunshine!

Though they have their challenging moments, to me, my children are pure sunshine. My office is practically wallpapered with pictures of them. Just looking at these pictures can make the worst day seem ok. Here is one of my recent photo sessions with the kids, on an especially cute day, if you ask me! :)

Both looking AND smiling! A miracle captured on film!

Love this!

One of my all time favorites! This makes me smile at my crabbiest moments!

My sweet boy!

We sure do love you two!

One more party!

Six days after N's birthday, happens to be P's, and three days after that, happens to be Granny's! While p and Granny are not quite as excited for their birthdays every year, all of us being so close together is usually a great excuse for a family get together. Grancy was kind enough to host this year. At this party, N recieved his most favorite birthday present EVER! He is very into trains and most of all Thomas. So, this year for his birthday, my EXTREMELY talented cousin, MH, made N a train table.....and N's EXTREMELY talented Grancy, painted the Island of Sodor(where Thomas lives) on it and bought him all kinds of wonderful Thomas stuff to use on the table. We got it all set up and he just loves it!

Smiling so big that I bet his face hurt!

Happy Birthday to us! We celebrated Uncle J and Cousin D too, even though they didn't make it. :)

Granny and N, playing in Miss M's new tent, aka distraction from the train table!

Thank you Grancy and MH! You sure made this birthday a special one for N!

What a party!

For N's birthday party, we headed out to Club Just Jump for an afternoon of CRAZY fun for the kids and adults! Here are some pics of our fun.
